PHOTOS: Pym Test Kitchen Dining Area Sign and Giant Choco Smash Bar added, ‘Frozen’ theme removed from Disney California Adventure
Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus is set to open on June 4th and every day seems to bring new and exciting superhero discoveries. The courtyard near the Hyperion Theater, previously used as an extended queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: BREAKOUT !, has transformed into the Pym Test Kitchen Dining Room.
Some Pym Test Kitchen banners and posters appeared a few days ago, but the area has really “grown” since.

A new sign has been added, officially designating this redeveloped area as the ‘dining room‘ of Pym Test Kitchen. The new addition is on top of other Pym-related decors, but now clarifies what this yard will be used for in June.

Yes, it’s a gigantic Choco-Smash CANDY candy bar. While Pym Test Kitchen will be selling a ‘celestial size’ version, we don’t think it will be that big.

So far, the chandeliers for the extended queue are still in place, and no dining tables have appeared (or maybe they’re too microscopic to see right now).

Beyond the addition of the new signage and prop for Pym Test Kitchen, more “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” themes have been removed. Today we noticed that the stairs have a new Pym pattern.

Only a few days ago those stairs still had snowflakes from “Frozen”. The show was definitively ended last October, having been on hiatus since the park was closed due to COVID-19 in March 2020.

The stairs now blend in with the overall look of the area, although the lampposts and railings still maintain a color scheme more suited to Hollywood Land.
