Hamptons Home has an enviable outdoor kitchen and dining area
With summer well underway, it’s all about al fresco dining (just ask our Hamptons agent at a recent real estate roundtable).
A Bridgehampton home on the market for $14.75 million boasts one of the most stunning outdoor kitchens and dining areas we’ve seen recently.
We’ll get to the impressive 914 Ocean Road home in a moment, but the outdoor amenities deserve to take center stage first.
“Outside there are so many opportunities for recreation and entertainment,” says William Wolff of Douglas Elliman, who co-advertises the home with Robin Bender. “An incredible outdoor kitchen is done in travertine, mahogany and stainless steel and includes a BBQ, pizza oven, fridge, wine fridge and two cooktop burners.”
The kitchen and adjacent dining area sit under a white pergola with overhead lighting. A long table for 12 people.
Listing agents estimate around $250,000 was invested to make this space top notch.
The 2.15 acre lot, which features mature specimen trees and plantings, features a gunite heated pool, a 1,500 square foot multi-level spa and pool house, and an enclosed outdoor shower. There is also a Hydro Har-Tru tennis court and playground to keep the kids busy.
“This beautiful estate is located in one of the most desirable locations, close to all the best the Hamptons have to offer,” says Wolff. “You can actually hear the ocean, just half a mile away, and Ocean Road Beach is one of the most popular beaches in the Hamptons. You are also close to the much sought after Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club.”
Wolff adds, “At over two acres, with an expansive lawn, this property’s land value alone presents an incredible opportunity in the market.”
Meanwhile, the 7,000 square foot home was custom built in 2007. The home begins with an entryway that includes a window seat. “Glass walls bring in lots of natural light, and gallery-style walls are great for displaying artwork,” says Wolff.
The living room has a cathedral ceiling with exposed beams, built-in bookshelves and a wood-burning fireplace. Light enters through a wall of glass and doors that lead to the patio, as do the doors to the adjacent dining room.
The large chef’s kitchen features a center island and peninsula with counter seating, top of the line stainless steel appliances including a wine fridge and double wall ovens.
There are seven bedrooms and five full bathrooms, plus a powder room.
Most of the rooms offer access to a large outdoor terrace which overlooks the courtyard and the swimming pool. This includes the master suite which has doors on both sides of the room. The private bathroom includes a walk-in shower, two sinks and a stand-alone bathtub.
The back of the pool house offers a garage for two cars.
“This special house, in this perfect location, is not to be missed!” adds Wolff.
The house was originally asking $16,950.00.
